Colonial Panama Montecristi

The Montecristi Panama hat is crafted from an exceptionally precious material originating from the city of Montecristi, in the Manabí province of Ecuador. This extremely fine, elastic, and luminous straw is obtained from the leaves of the Carludovica Palmata palm. The careful selection of the finest fibers and the hand-weaving of a single piece may require several months of work. The style is distinguished by its classic colonial shape, designed to be rollable and to enhance the natural elasticity of Panama straw. The brim measures approximately 6 cm. The design is completed with a 1.5 cm grosgrain band. The hat comes with a matching box and dust bag. Handcrafted with care and passion in Italy.
