Born in 1980 and a graduate from the fashion design Duperré School in Paris, Alexandre Mattiussi first began his career collaborating for several fashion houses before launching AMI in 2011. Inspired by the French word for friend, the brand name is also a play on the founder’s initials. AMI offers clothing and accessories for men and women that captures a relaxed, authentic and friendly type of Parisian nonchalance, distinctive of the French capital.
Commenting on the unique Borsalino collaboration, AMI founder Alexandre Mattiussi says: “AMI’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection is very distinctive, very bright, and I wanted to create strong elements to accessorize it. I have been following Borsalino’s work and craftsmanship for a long time, so partnering up with them was a natural thing to do.
