Johnny Depp, "hatter" by vocation
A life lived to the fullest, replete with excesses, but above all successful, has made Johnny Depp one of the best loved actors of all time. His charm has not left him even on the threshold of 50, and in 2012 his unique and eclectic manner earned him the title of Style Icon at the Council of Fashion Designers of America.Chameleon-like in his outfits and original in his matches, Johnny Depp has always opted for a highly personal, wholly unpredictable look.
The only accessory that he never does without is a hat, preferably of felt, which he sports daily in a variety of colours and permutations. His is a true vocation for the hat, which we find expressed in many of the films in which he was the undisputed star: how can we forget him in the perfect role of the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland (Tim Burton) or Willy Wonka of The Chocolate Factory (again a Tim Burton version), or even in the shoes of the exhilarating Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean saga. And what about the fascinating John Dillinger, in coat, tie and elegant hat who robs banks in Michael Mann's film Public Enemies?
