Jean Seberg in "Breathless"

The cinema and the hat have always represented two magnetic poles greatly attracted to each other: there are thousands of images of actors and actresses wearing hats which have become iconic and which are forever imprinted in our minds.

There are an infinite number of films where Borsalino hats have featured, so much so that an exhibition was held last year on this theme during the Milan Triennale: one of these films is "Breathless" by Jean Luc Godard, emblem of the French Nouvelle Vague, where the enduring image is of a young and beautiful Jean Seberg wearing a striped top, smoking a cigarette and wearing a Borsalino belonging to the thief, Michel Poiccard (Jean-Paul Belmondo).
